Jeanette Hernandez

Randolph Town Council

Jeanette Hernandez has been a nurse for fifteen years, nine of them in the ER, and served the community as a volunteer EMT for nearly ten years before that. She has dedicated most of her life to serving on the front lines of healthcare, caring and advocating for society’s most vulnerable people in their hour of need. Her science degree in Nursing, and her first-hand experience in dealing with public health and working with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes, are exactly the leadership skills we need as Randolph navigates the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

When Jeanette, her husband Mario, and their son moved to Randolph 3 ½ years ago, she dove right into local life. She joined the Democratic Committee, where she currently serves as both a local District Chair and on the e-board as Committee Secretary. Jeanette and her 8th-grader enjoy volunteering and have done so at numerous community events like town cleanups, Freedom Festivals, Country Fairs, and food drives, as well as participating in the recent Black Lives Matter march in June. She is a proud member of the P.E.A.C.E. group, working with local residents, mostly other parents, to eliminate racism and other forms of bias in Randolph. Jeanette knows that an inclusive community where all people are respected and valued equally is not just a lofty talking point, but a real and achievable goal.

Jeanette is running for office because she saw the need for fair and more diverse representation which better reflects the makeup of her town. Because she is not entrenched in Randolph’s insiders-only, business-as-usual political machinery like her opponents are, she can bring a fresh perspective and new ideas to the Council.

The Timpanaro, Weiner, & Hernandez campaign is committed to eliminating cronyism and nepotism in Randolph’s politics, ensuring equitable representation and transparent, above-board business practices. They have a comprehensive approach to budget development that puts their residents’ needs and interests first, will eliminate waste, and will pass savings on to the community through increased services. They are committed to opening municipal contracts up to public bidding, ensuring that all contractors are properly vetted and that the taxpayers get the best services for the best price. The campaign also has an ambitious plan to improve the town’s environmental profile. This plan will bring money and increased business opportunities to Randolph and entice growing young families to make Randolph their home.
