Boonton, Board of Aldermen
Marie DeVenezia was elected in 2019 to fill an unexpired term and is now running for a full two-year term on the Boonton Board of Aldermen. Her primary focus is Main Street. She would like to ensure that the town undergoes economic revitalization without losing the small town appeal that makes Boonton unique.
As a former Main Street business owner, she understands the stresses and challenges of owning and running a small business. As a member of the Economic Development Committee, she is part of the team preparing Boonton's transit village application. The town's purchase of the Darress Theater, when complete, will be the catalyst for new development and economic opportunity for all of Main Street and by extension, the entire town.
Furthermore, DeVenezia also supports improving broadband access and bandwidth in areas that are currently underserved, measures to ensure greater election security, protecting access to health care, and addressing unemployment.
